Interesting test glaze tile made by the American Terra Cotta Corporation (aka Teco ). Marked on the back - ink stamps with the company name and a phrase about the finish, written with a marker is "XD-549", written in pencil are further notes, and two of the edges have numbers written with a marker - "10 5 33 1" and "???KG". This measures 5 1/8" x 3 1/8" x 5/8" thick - four test glazes in matte to semi matte finish on a mottled creamy brown background. Neat piece of history, probably circa 1930. In excellent condition.
