This early roasting fork is constructed with a wood (Oak?) handle and brass fittings for the iron 2 tine fork. It is circa 1880. The handle of the peice maesures almost 19 inches long and the tine is 2.75 inches long and 3.5 inches wide. It would hold a large piece of meat firmly.
