Manufacturer: unknown This is a really old piece with a well worn surface. The round solid wood base is constructed of 2 pieces, one of top of each other. The blade is affixed in the middle so it can be raised and lowered to cut the cheese block or herbs. The handle is wood with a brass fitting. There is a circular worn hole from constant use. The base measures 8.75 inches in diameter and 2 inches thick.
