Manufacturer: as described Made by the Wheatley Pottery Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, about 1910, this tile is #1002 in their catalog. A geometric design with a flower inside it. Done in lovely matte glazes of a gray to beige background, blue, yellow and a most unusual orange. Measures 6" square by 3/4" thick. The glaze is very thick on the entire tile. One factory glaze skip in the blue section and an overrun around the circle - adds to the hand made charm of the piece. In excellent condition. (#1293)
