This is a very well made vintage pewter & brass ash tray, probably dating c.1920.
The body is a heavy pewter with brass stylized bird & flowers. I should probably call the item a "box" as that is how it is shaped.
The bottom is stamped "Made In Hong Kong" which is getting rarer and hence collectible.
On our last trip there our guide said that almost no items are made there as it is too expensive & that they contracted with China for most items. This item is in very good condition.
