Manufacturer: Kershaw A really beautiful & highly collectible hand-made Kershaw Bowie knife & leather sheath, dating c. 1980's, for your inspection.
The knife measures 13 1/4" long with a 8 3/4" mirror finished blade.

The blade is inscribed "KERSHAW OREGON USA" with the number "1363" on the opposite side of the blade.
The knife has not been used, only displayed, & hence, the blade has no scratches, rust, dings or nicks. The blade is the sharpest we have experienced, having brushed it against my slacks while photographing & immediately having a slit in the cloth the width of the blade.
The finger guard & pommel are solid cast brass, polished beautifully, without imperfections. The handle is pressure-laminated layers of Coco Bola wood veneers, beautifully finished with finger grooves. My photos do not show it's beautiful grain at it's finest.
The sheath is made of heavy cowhide & is tooled with "KERSHAW 4072" on the back side. The sheath is hand-made, beautifully designed & shows only a small darkening spot where the finger guard rests against it. The stitching is highly decorative.
This Bowie is the most beautiful Kershaw we have seen & it would be the perfect center piece in a knife collection of the best side pieces, or for use by a discriminating sportsman. |
