Bonded Seller offers Fala, Pres.FDR's little dog in the 1930's, 4 in. tall, oval base 4 1/4 X 5 1/4 in. Fala is bronze-finish spelter with a nice patina. He is attached to the base bottom with a screw. The base is jade/caramel slag-glass, probably Akro Agate. Overall condition good...both Fala's ear-tips have minor damage....this does not detract from his saucy expression...he says he fought a good fight! For paperclips on a desk, for cufflinks on a dresser, as an ashtray? A unique item in America history! |
