For sale is an antique wood Superior Type Co. stamp set. Original hardwood box, made by The Superior Type Company, Chicago, ILL. (note the old state abbrevation). Box has tongue-and-groove corners, and I have another very similar item which is dated 1918, so that is when this was likely made too. Showing some wear, and one of hinge flaps is missing. Signed by the previous owner, Property of Jessie McKinney. Only a couple of alphabet stamps are missing, but it has additional stamps like '$', 'per doz','!', 'Lb', '3/4' '&' etc. A very cool set of stamps! brncs4.07 |
