For sale is an primitive antique dove tailed box. Neat old box; top looks like birds eye maple and sides look like oak. This might have old mustard paint on it, can't tell for sure. Sides look like oak. Has a metal strap; when you move the strap down, the top can be opened. Two brass hinges on back. Not sure of the function, but perhaps for candles? Lid fits very snugly when metal strap is in place. It is 9 long x 5.5 tall x 6.5 deep. Neat box to store old tin photos, stereoview finder cards, remote control, candles, etc. |
