In 1980 manufacturers sacrificed quality for production speed and started aiming at the 'general' market instead of the 'audiophile' market. Analog tuners were replaced with digital tuners, to the chagrin of audiophiles. Today the classic pre-1980 models are highly regarded.
This is a 4-channel AM-FM receiver by Sansui, model #QR-4500. Power output: 27 Watts per channel RMS X4 into 8 ohms. This unit has had one owner since it's original purchase in 1973. Has a wood case with chrome face. Measures 20¾'' long, 7½'' high, and 12½'' deep. Comes with original spec sheet and front panel information card. Very good condition, although we recommend servicing for any vintage electronics. Contact us if you would like a large version of the spec sheet pic emailed to you. |
