Circa: mid-1900's-70's Condition: Good++ Manufacturer: A. Lietz Japan This is a very nice vintage topographic Abney level that comes with a very nice fitted leather case, with belt loop. The black crinkle painted, square tube is marked near the eye view lens, "LIETZ NO. 8047-05". When looking in the viewer lens, the inside mirror allows the used to view the top mounted level to the right side inside the square tube, and adjustment can be made to the inclined until the level matches the measure grade. This unit is in very good condition, very little wear on the level, with nice brass fittings on the aluminum scale! The level measures 5.3" long overall.

| The fitted leather case is clean with a good snap lid, and belt loop. A few finish scratches are noted, and a past owner's name on the back of the case near the loop, no damage note, in very good condition overall. A very nice instrument and case overall! Made by a well known maker, and these are rare to find for sale! |
