Carved Wooden Ewe Ibeji Figure - On Custom Made Stand
This is a marvelous and most typical Ewe Ibeji figure. Early to mid 20th Century.A wonderful example of the form, the figure is offered mounted on its custom base. Has marvelous patina The Ewe live in southern Benin, Togo and southeastern Ghana. Size: 8¼ H x 3 W x 2½ D (without stand) Stand: 3¼ x 3¼ x ¾ H Condition: very good despite some obvious age weathering, which is shown in the photos.
