| Very nice old clothes iron. This one was made by General Electric. They called it a High Speed Calrod Wolverine. It has settings for rayon, silk, wool, cotton and linen. Looks like a bakelite knob. The handle is wood that was painted white. Paint looks like it was put on during production. Some of the paint has worn as you can see in the picture. The handle is loose and wiggles from side to side. I am not so sure it wasn't built this way as the handle also has some play but looks like it ws designed that way. Feels solid pushing front to back as you would when ironing. Nice bright chrome with some expected slight scuff marks. It is functional and heats up when plugged in. The cloth covered cord is flexible-not dry and stiff. The cord is removable. Nice and heavy. Check out the other great vintage electronics at Rusty Springs. I will be happy to combine shipping and handling for multiple item orders. |
