Circa: late 1800's Condition: Good+ Manufacturer: unknown
This is a nice clean hog ringer pliers, with no maker's name on it. These pliers are 6.5" long with a single nose ring slot in each jaw. This allows the user to hold the ring and close the ring into the nose of the animal with ease. The ring slots in this model are rather shallow compared with other types I have seen. The pliers are in good shape overall, the pivot pin is in good working order, with a little wear, snug, no rust or damage, some minor pitting noted, but jaws are in very good usable condition. The depth set thumb screw is in good condition. A unique design, and a nice collectible farm tool overall! Very rare! |
