This leaf form figural demitasse cup and saucer is just beautiful! We believe it is Japanese, dating c. 1890-1910. The paper thin fluted cup is in the form of a leaf. It is 2 1/2" x 2". You can see the leaf veins coming through on the back of the saucer which measures 4 1/3". The ground is a pale celadon with hand enameled flowers and leaves and insects. It is beautifully painted and most unusual. Excellent condition. |
