| There are three different scenes of Viking warriors separated by stellae. The scenes depict King Olav the Holy and his men, who sacrificed their lives for Christianity at the famous battle of Stiklestad, Norway, in 1,030 A.D. Olav was the only Viking declared a saint by the Catholic Church. Marked, "Kongetinn Pewter/ H-S/ Norway". The candleholders stand 3.5 inches tall and are 3 inches in diameter. They have a few dents: one on a rim (can be seen in our first photo - candleholder on the left), and the other two are on the bases (see close-up photos). This damage does not detract from these handsome pieces, but we have adjusted the price to reflect the condition. |
