| "Belle de Nuit (Beautiful Night) Watkins Perfumer New York" is printed on the front. Inside the box are 2 empty vials. The label on the larger of the 2 reads "Lentheric Tweed Eau de Tiolette Rebottled by Montrose Trading Co New York Wholly Independent of Lentheric". This vial is 2.5" long and features a green rubber stopper that has hardened with age; the red bordered label with green writing is complete and intact although darkened with age. The other vial is 1.5" long with a cork stopper and the green and white label reads "Imperial Sable Lency". The label is perfect the cork just came off in my hand - part stuck in bottle-part out (after photos were taken). Both vials are empty. The Watkins Company was founded in 1868 in Plainview, Minnesota. It remained a family owned business, run by the Watkins and Kings until 1978. c.1930 |
