Circa: 1880-1900 Condition: Excellent Size: 7" x 7" Manufacturer: Whitney This is a large Whitney die-cut valentine with silver lace paper layered on red, white and gold Art Nouveau style paper intricately cut on the edges. On top of the lace is layered scrap die-cut pictures. This was common for Whitney valentines between 1880-1910.
Inside is a darling Cupid.

The card says "Valentines have always been such nice things to send when you want to tell your thoughts to some special friend--that I confess. Now the thoughts I'll let you guess.
The card has not been used. It has the expected foxing for a card of this age. There are no tears. This valentine is in great condition.
