| This is a nice clean counter top type weight scale. It features three sliding weight type scales, one for pounds, one for ounces, and one adjusting weight. The scale has a front mounted, chrome scale where all the weights, and graduated scales are located. This is a sliding balance beam type scale, and has provision for setting about any type of plate, cup of container on the 6 x 11" table, then using the adjusting weight you can balance the scale to "0", fill the container with whatever you wish to measure, then use the pound and ounce slide scales to measure the exact weight from 0-22 pounds & 16 ounces. The container you set on the table must be at least 5 ounces, but not more than 2 pounds in order to set the "0" on the balance scale. Works great, very easy to use once you get acquainted with it! That same chrome section is marked "KRUPS PERLA DBP MADE IN GERMANY", and it also is marked "KRUPS" on the white enameled base section. The scale has a side thumbscrew that will lock the scale movement, for cleaning or moving it. It is not clear if there was some sort of clip on container that went with this scale, but we don't have one. The scale works great in the way we mentioned above. This is a top quality mid-1900's era scale! There is no plastic on it. It's all metal, and the base is a very heavy weight steel, very well made! |
