This is a nice clean and rare hog ringer pliers, clearly marked with raised cast lettering "PAT. AUG. 11-74, and "TOP" on the top jaw, the other side reads "NOSE RINGER". The raised lettering is rather difficult to read, but this is the way it was cast. These pliers are 7" long and have provision to set one size nose ring in place only. These pliers have indentations in the jaws which allows the user to hold the pliers with a ring inserted in the jaws, to get the ring in place securely by squeezing the ring closed. The pliers are in good shape overall, the pivot pin is in good working order, with a little wear, snug, some minor pitting noted, but jaws are in very good usable condition. A unique design, and a nice collectible farm tool overall! Very rare!
