Small Brass piece marked American Steam Gauge & Mfg. Co. Boston USA. Was told it's a Safety Release Valve or Pop Valve. Also is marked 8 lbs. BS-3 229. Measures 4" in height and the thread all the way across the the bottom is about 3/4" in diameter. Was not tested. Would make a great addition to one's collection. Buyer to pay shipping & insurance.
