This is a very attractive portrait print titled, "Jesus at 12 Years Old". This is a classic well-known religious picture and it is a detail from the much large scene known as, "Jesus in the Temple with the Doctors and Priests", originally painted by famous artist, Heinrich Hofmann.

| This picture represents Jesus Christ at the age of twelve, portrayed as a Bright Young Man doing His Father’s work (Father meaning God). A Bible can only partially be seen in this picture, but is atop the table Jesus leans upon. The crisp details and colors of this print are beautiful. The print is framed with its original cream-colored matting. The gold-painted molded wood frame is also original to this piece. The print, matting, and frame are all in excellent original condition. Original glass and backing. New wire hanger. Circa 1940’s. |
