Well I wouldn't be in a hurry to eat with it, but this sure is an interesting old fork. It is of the type associated with the time period surrounding our Civil War and came to us along with enough other Civil War period artifacts to lend weight to this assessment. The fork measures 6 and 1/2 inches long and has a hand carved handle covering made of bone and held in place by three brass pins. Nice addition to a Civil War display. |
