This is a large, rare, and unique antique print titled, "The Holy Family" in 6 different languages and signed by the artist, "A. Muuer, Warth" at the bottom of the print. This is a rare picture depicting Mary, Joseph, and Young Boy Jesus portrayed as Carpenters. I believe this scene takes place in Joseph’s woodworking / carpentry shop in the city of Nazareth. This intriguing picture features Mary sewing, Joseph sawing, and Jesus chiseling. I wonder what they’re making? This print has lovely colors and wonderful details throughout. Along with the title and artist’s signature at the bottom, there is also an item number, "2313", and a "W" symbol within a circle in the bottom left.

There is also writing in the bottom right, possibly the publishing company’s name and more. (see photo) I believe the language is either Portuguese, Dutch, Greek, or Australian. It reads, "imprimi permittitur. Ordiniriatus episcopalis Limburgensis.". Below that it reads, "Incycb Paootaetb Cb Cbonmb Otuemb". I attempted researching the words, but was unable to fully translate this to English. Also in the bottom left hand corner of the print, there is a very small round symbol with the letter ‘W" within. This is a marvelous antique print and it’s in excellent original condition, with only one minor exception. Closely around the outer edge, there are six very small flakes that have chipped off from the picture. Oddly enough, it appears this has something to do with the pressure of the old nails on the back because it just so happens to be that exactly where the old nails are on the back, the flakes are on the front. The large, lovely frame is original to the print. It is a molded wood frame with nice old original cream paint and decorative metal corner brackets. The frame is in excellent original condition with very minor age-appropriate wear to the old finish. Original glass, nice old original backing, and original wire hanger. Circa 1920’s.
