A charming pair of figural vases. Hand painted, Colonial fife and drum couple by Chase Japan.
A young miss in colonial attire playing a gold fife. She is wearing a green skirt with pink bodice, and a white floral apron with a black sash tied around her waist. She has bright gold shoes & a bright gold bow in her hair.

The young drummer is sporting green nickers with stripes, a purple jacket, and a white V-neck shirt with gold stripes and gold "V". There are gold tassels on the sides of his socks.
The vases behind each figurine have applied pink roses and sponged gold highlights. There is discoloration in some areas on the vases.
Both stand 5 7/8". A wonderful set! |
