This antique hand carved wooden toy leopard was found at an estate sale near Lancaster, PA. We found this toy was dated and initialed under the tail, S H 1868, by the maker. Back in the mid-1800s toys for children were rarely store bought especially amoung the country folk. Note how the black painted leopard spots have faded compaired to the rest of the body from being held. Is you have any questions, please feel free to email or phone us.
