Manufacturer: U.S. Mint - San Francisco Issued by the U.S. Mint starting in 1973. This medal is the first of a series of 10 issued to commemorate the battles of the American Revolutionary War.
This medal honors George Washington, as a reproduction of the original medal issued to him for the liberation of Boston in 1776. The coin is high-relief and inscribed in Latin.
Uncirculated condition, made of pewter, 1 1/2" diameter. Original plastic outer case in included, as well as fold-out paper flyer which explains Washington's role in the War for Independence. Flyer has some age yellowing spots on the cover page.
