Bought in 2004 as the second piece to a pair of Gaveau's gorgeous lithographs, this limited printing also bears the number 48 of 180, at the time of purchase, it seemed like a courteous gesture, but with Gaveau's huge rise in popularity, this second of the two similar prints forces one to ask why wouldn't you sell them both together? Well the answer is I prefer to let my customers decide if they want to by one or both, so in effect, as long as neither one is sold, they are available to be purchased together.
This hand signed piece is a vivid depiction of the passion between two lovers. Did the beautiful bouquet of flowers lead directly to this passionate scene of a man and woman locked together by a mix of desire, need and love? I would have to lean toward that thinking, but who really knows for sure. Professionally framed and glazed, this piece measures 24 by 30 inches.
