Condition: Good+ Manufacturer: Late 1800's - early 1900's Offering this nice wooden barrel in good+ condition. It appears to have been painted over the years, and looks nice with a black milk paint and on the wood, and gold wash on the iron bands. It measures about 12" diameter at the widest part, and 17.25" tall overall. We have no idea what was originally in this barrel, it is empty now, but still weighs 18 pounds. We note some small brads in various areas to keep the bands from moving about, as the wood dries, it shrinks enough to cause the bands to be a little loose, not bad, still holding shape and construction form very well, very solid, nice made. We used this as a primitive decoration for a number of years in our barn room. We have moved to a different style home now, and it no longer fits into our decor.
