Henry Ryland was a painter, watercolorist, decorator and designer who was influenced by Puvis de Chavanne, Alma-Tadema and the Pre-Raphaelites. He was a pupil of Benjamin Constant and later Gustave Boulanger in Paris.
His favorite subject were young women in classical draperies.
His paintings can be found in many famous museums and Art-galleries.
Used as postcard in Hungary in 1902. Minor wear.
