| This is a nice clean 1907 1st edition (2nd printing) of "A COMPREHENSIVE HANDBOOK ON USES AND APPLICATIONS OF THE BAND SAW AND JIG SAW" instruction booklet. It is dated, with copyright date of 1934, Oct. 1934 printing date. Copyright by "THE WALKER-TURNER CO. INC. PLAINFIELD N.J.". This book is 6" x 9". It has over 100 photo illustrations and line drawings, and diagrams, along with text to give you a much better understanding of jig saws and band saws from the 1930's era. We note that this book doesn't focus on any particular saw model or models that this company made, but does show some application for these machines that I often forget they are capable of, like filing on a jig saw, or Inlaying metals and other decorative applications. It also show various projects like puzzles. A good text section on saw blades, speeds, set-up etc. This book has 71 pages. Condition is good to good++, pages are very clean, cover, binding and spine intact, we note a small puncture through the entire book, however all the text is still readable, it is like someone put a sharp point awl through the pages, so it didn't make a hole big enough to remove text from the pages. It is soft covered, some shop dirt noted, but overall in clean condition, no missing pages, no writing or scibbling noted. A hard to find applications booklet! |
