Machine Age meets Eames Era in this retro bedroom reading lamp, made by Gregg Manufacturing Co. in the late 1940s to very early 1950s. It originally came with curved wire hooks to mount onto the headboard of your bed, but they are no longer present. You can easily make replacement hooks out of coat hanger wire, and the light can still be mounted to the wall or headboard by the keyhole openings in back.

The elliptical shaped steel shade is painted Industrial brown and has gold tone bands at the centers of the stepped louvered sides. The gold bands are removable, handy if you wish to repaint the shade.
The light's on/off switch is mounted to the bottom of the brown phenolic bulb socket. The lamp has a nice long 6 foot brown cord which is in good condition with no damage. There are some scratches to the back wall near the keyhole openings, otherwise the finish is in good condition. It works fine as shown in the last picture. Measurements: 11" by 4-1/4" by 2-3/4" high.
