Manufacturer: Hopi This item is a unique display boxed collection of eight (8) Miniature Kachinas. All 8 Kachinas were made by Hopi Indians of Arizona. They all appear to have been carved from Cottonwood, which is the true Hopi way of carving Kachinas. Each Kachina is only about 3 inches high.

| They are all colorfully handpainted and decorated with feathers. On the bottom of 6 of them the artist/carver, named Pooley, signed them and wrote the English name of the Kachina. Two of the Kachinas are unsigned. The Kachinas signed by Pooley are Warrior, Rain, Hehea, Bear, Maiden and Ogre. I believe one of the unsigned Kachinas is Cloud Girl. I don't know the name of the other unsigned Kachina. All of these Kachinas are at least 20 years old and are in excellent condition. The glass fronted box which displays the Kachinas is 12 by 16 inches. |
