Manufacturer: Alhambra Kilns Pottery This is one of the rarer tiles we've seen in a while. Made by Alhambra Kilns in Santa Monica, California - they were in business from 1926-1937. It is rare because the tile is not only scenic in nature, but has high glazes, and is multi colored - all of which are very unusual. This measures 3 1/2" square. Press molded design of a cottage, tall trees in the background, and a white path going to the house. The tile was previously set and the back still has traces of the glue. The tile does have an impressed Alhambra Kilns mark on the back - hard to see unless you "wet" the back - but it's there. Minor wear to the self framing edges - generally in extremely nice condition.
