This item is a unique Oriental Porcelain Duck Wine Decanter. This Decanter is made in the shape of a Duck with a Duckling and comes on a wooden base. In the center of the Duck's back is an opening with a porcelain stopper for you to pour the wine into the Duck. The spout is the duck's beak and the handle is the tail. This Decanter is about 11 inches long; 9 inches high to the top of the handle without the base underneath; and about 9 and 1/2 inches across at its widest part. The wooden base is about 2 and 1/4 inches high and conforms to the outside shape of the Decanter. The only markings I have found on the underside of this Decanter are what appear to be Chinese characters. This Wine Duck is in excellent condition without any chips, cracks or crazing. |
