Crafts using safety pins and plastic beads were popular in the late 1960s throughout the 1970s. This is an elaborate beaded Southern Belle or Colonial Girl style doll made using only safety pins, beads, and soft vinyl doll head and hands. The beads are iridescent crystal, opaque red, and iridescent rose beads. It looks like the creator used a recycled vintage doll head as she has no hair, just roots. The red wavy disc bead hat covers it though. There are no missing, broken, or chipped beads.
