If you are crazy for crozes, have croze feet, live in a croze nest, or just plain like old planes, this very neat Cooper's Croze is something you'd definitely like. I don't think it's a stretch to say that this is a nineteenth century item.
The Croze is also interesting in that it tells me that the owner of this plane was frugal. When he wore a sufficient groove in the fence of the plane, he flipped it over and began working with the other side so that he wouldn't need another piece of hardwood.
The blade of the plane appears to be of the period, and is a cast blade with the maker's mark.
The croze is in very good condition for its age.
I'm offering this tool in our Hudson, Wisconsin store as well as on-line, so please e-mail me if you are interested in it so I can fetch it. I will then let you know how much shipping will be. |
