This vintage US Mess Kit is in excellent condition, some wear from age and use. Comes with the fork and spoon. Knife is missing. All the items are marked: US 1917 on the kit and utensils, also marked WB over W. The mess kit is marked: Pvt. Dear, Pittsburg, Penna. on the top(as seen in photos). All I could find is that the soldier was from Dormont, a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. The Mess Kit is missing the metal ring for the top.
