Art Deco styling on this chrome collectible ashtray. This bird is the Pelican I believe. A series of these with different birds and other animals were produced in the 1940s or 1950s.
Marked on the bottom, REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. MADE IN U.S.A./U.S.PAT. NOS. 98.596 167.703/OTHER PATS. PEND.
This chrome ashtray is in great condition with just a few spots but for age excellent.
Due to styling of this bird it could also be used as a business card holder.
Cork is on the bottom to protect furniture. I believe it was produced by the Hamilton company and part of the Pincherette Series. |
