Circa: 1944-1946 Condition: Good+ Publisher: Theo. Audel & Co. New York N. Y. This is a clean set of Audels with a complete set of 4 volumes copyright in 1923 39, & 45, on Volume 1 & 4 reprinted in 1946, and volume 2 & 3 copyright in 1923 39, reprinted in 1944. One of my favorite reference book sets for information on building and carpentry techniques from the 1940's. The 1st volume is very good for information on tools of that days and how to care for them. Each book is 5" x 6.5" has a black leather like look, pressed cloth exterior highlighted with gold gilt spine lettering. All are in good to good+ condition, good solid, tight bindings, pages are clean and white inside, very clean, volume 1 & 4 has a past owner's name inside cover page. Some minor variation in red page edge color, but quite nice overall. The cover boards are semi-soft, in good condition with minor creases in the middle of most of the covers from bending open a little too far. The covers do lay flat now, and no damage inside cover, no torn paperPage edges are red, with some minor color variations. Overall good+ condition. A nice set of books covering tools, steel square, joinery, furniture, math, drawings, estimating, house and roof framing, layout, foundations, doors, windows, stair building, millwork, painting, etc. Lots of good information!
