In 1983, Cabbage Patch Kids inspired a nationwide craze unlike any toy before them, inviting children to "adopt" their very own Kid. Of course, parenthood is a real responsibility--a new baby needs toys, clothing, diapers, and countless other items! Coleco and a host of other toy companies were happy to supply a massive assortment of merchandise for these child "parents" that created a multi-million dollar market apart from the dolls themselves. Now this merchandise is part of a new Cabbage Patch craze among collectors.
