10" high x 9.5" wide. Very, very rare, World War II era United States Naval cast iron ship bell. The "USN" still clearly visible. Recovered from wreck in the Chesapeake near Havre De Grace, around the mouth of the Susquehanna, . Buried in the mud some 65 years. Clearly a museum piece. The Chesapeake was a strategic waterway in those years. With access to Washington, Annapolis, they were highly protected. A good history detective might be able to determine the ship it came from.
