For sale is a pair of vintage German Shepard bookends. They are shown in the book on vintage bookends and are titled: On Alert, c:1930, shown in brass. These are iron with white brass metal finish. Most companies made iron, brass, bronze and pot metal. These are quite old, likely older than 1930; one has old green felt on bottom; other doesn't and shows rust. These are 5.5 tall x 6.5 long. Both dogs have a small circular rust tinged spot near their mouths. 8/09gscs |
