The encyclopedia covers officially approved patches from both active and inactive units, patches approved for local wear, as well as many unauthorized patches. The full encyclopedia also includes a snapshot profile of each unit. This smaller, 98 page book contains ONLY the color patches and the identifying caption underneath, but does not include the background information and snapshot profile found in the full edition of the encyclopedia.
