The 1960's had some great bead necklaces. This one is a 3-strand green, gold, beige, brown necklace that is made up of round beads and flattened larger beads in graduated sizes. I'm not sure if these are called squash beads.
The colors are fantastic--all of this season's greens. The necklace has a hook clasp so the necklace can be worn at 16 inches or 18 inches.
The clasp is marked Japan. This is a great piece to add to a collection or to wear.
