From 1931 through 1934, Eddie Cantor hosted the Standard Brands sponsored Chase and Sanborn Hour. The show was so successful, that it catapulted Cantor into being the world’s highest paid radio star. It was on these shows that Lucille Ball and Dinah Shore achieved recognition and which eventually led to their stardom.
