This is a nice clean 10" sweep, heavy duty ratchet bit brace with nice solid, dark brown hard rubber handles. It is marked "YANKEE NO. 2101-10IN NORTH BROS. MFG. CO. PHILA PA. U.S.A. PATENT NOV.6.23 JAN.13.25" on the area near the chuck, and marked on the end handle"YANKEE". It measures 14" long overall and 10" sweep. No rust, no pitting, about 90% of the original nickel plating intact, all the features are in very good working order. A very nice heavy duty (weight is 3.0 pounds)auger bit brace, with good solid handles that have some wear, mostly minor wear, some tiny scratches. The chuck is the spring loaded 2-jaw type, it will accept both round and tapered shank auger bits. A nice clean older brace, with ball bearing drive on the end handle, in very good working condition overall!
