This ready to frame excellent condition 19th century full page engraving was taken directly from the painting titled "Christ and the Woman" by German artist Heinrich Hofmann. The engraving is removed from the 1899 copyright book titled "Light of the World, Our Saviour in Art, A Book Without Words...Every Picture a Sermon" which contains over 100 engravings of the world's greatest masterpieces. A copy of this book is in the Smithsonian Library.
