Manufacturer: Desna Czech Republic Art Glass
11 1/2" h X 3x3" base.
Introduced in the 1920s, World War II, halted production destroyed and lost historical data, molds from the art deco era were recovered at the end of the communist era in Czechoslovakia and are being offered on the web in limited quantity editions under the Desna name. (after the village where the original glassworks were founded)
My parents have had this piece for many years I remember it in the early 60's, it could be from earlier then that, note the clear base on this statue all the others I have researched have black bases. Given it's history it has been difficult to research.
