This adorable 1950s ceramic fairy figurine features a cherubic fairy child with yellow and black butterfly-like wings sitting on a log chair or bench beside her (or his) little lamb. The fairy wears only a vest and has curly strawberry blond hair, rosy red checks, cupid's bow mouth, and big hand painted eyes with lush lashes. Her hands are raised at either side of her face in an innocent pose. An applied pink porcelain flower decorates the lower legs of the chair. The underside is marked Japan in red. 3-1/4" high at the chair back by 3" wide. Excellent vintage condition with no damage.
